These terms govern your use of the Cal Cal iPhone app and the calcalpro.com website. By using the app you agree to them.

Not medical advice

Cal Cal provides estimates of calories and nutrition, and general wellness suggestions. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Nutrition estimates from photos, barcodes, and text descriptions are approximations and may be inaccurate. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Never disregard professional advice because of something in the app.

Subscriptions

• Cal Cal offers auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly, monthly, and yearly). The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including reverse engineering it, using it to build a competing dataset, abusing the AI analysis service with automated traffic, or using it in any unlawful way.

Intellectual property

The app, website, brand, and content are owned by Cal Cal and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cal Cal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
